Another beautiful day on the water today.
We decided to fly the gennaker for a little more boat speed, again tackled a couple of projects, and even saw a couple other boats on the water (cargo, aka the “friends”).
Brought my travel watercolor kit with me on this journey and haven’t had many opportunities to use it yet because of sea sickness. Today, though, I took a crack at it. The thing is, if painting from life, mostly I just have water for inspiration…. lol. So water it is! And it’s damn hard to do well. More practice needed.
Jan made a lovely fresh salad with lots of veggies for lunch. Excited to have Cabo Verde as a stop in the middle to pick up some more fresh stuff for the next leg.
Probably about a third of the way to Cabo Verde. Hoping for stronger winds for the rest of the journey, but otherwise 6 total days to Cabo Verde seems practical.
Current read: The Sunlit Man, Brandon Sanderson (Annie, this book has Wit in it 👀)
Current audiobook: Under the Whispering Door, TJ Klune
Latest song: I SEE IT COMING, Nasaya & Maro
