The whole first half of the day (since 3am) brought little to no wind, around 2-3 knots so we motored and used the quiet seas to do various boat projects.

Put up the bimini, I gave the skipper a haircut (Connor, more practice so I can do yours better next time), and we identified a coolant leak in the port side motor.

Fun fact, this boat is run entirely on electricity (and wind power, of course). We can have the motors work in hydroregeneration mode (run backwards) when we’re going fast enough (~6 knots minimum) and there’s tons of solar on the roof. Diesel generator as a backup.

Sea sickness was better today, a dolphin encounter and swimming were big helps. Actually felt good enough to do some extended reading which was lovely.

Keeping on, hopefully more speedy winds ahead.

Wow, Emma, those dolphins are amazing. Are they ahead of your boat? Leading the way? So glad your sea sickness is better. Hoping for better winds soon.

Love you. Grandmother

Yeah the dolphins popped in yesterday morning and swam with the boat for 5-10 minutes. So cool watching them play and swim together.

It is! Surprisingly warm, I thought. I was prepared for much colder. Night watch only needed a pair of pants and maybe a double layer on top but nothing super crazy yet.
